Meet A Few of Our Auditory-Verbal Children
Allie is a bright and spunky little girl who presents with a bilateral moderate to severe, sloping to profound in the high frequencies, sensorineural hearing loss. She received her hearing aids and her family started worked tirelessly with Ms. Brandy to learn listening and spoken language skills started at age 2.5. Her local school district has also been a tremendous support, collaborating with Ms. Brandy to ensure her continued success in her mainstream environment. She wants to tell you about her puppy!
Emma is a determined, hard working precious little girl who presents with a bilateral profound sensorineural hearing loss. She received hearing aids and her family began services with Ms. Brandy at 18 months. She received her first cochlear implant at 2 years of age and her second implant 10 months later. Emma has always attended her mainstream elementary school with incredible success. She has a little something funny to tell you in her video!
Dylan is one seriously funny, life-loving boy who presents with a bilateral moderate to severe sensorineural hearing loss. He received his hearing aids and his family began services with Ms. Brandy at 2 years of age. His family is an incredible support and have always played an active role in teaching him listening and spoken language skills. They chose for him to attend a mainstream private school where he has had amazing successes with minimal support needed. Dylan also has a bit of humor to share!
